There are ingredients in cigarettes that speed up heart-rate and raise your blood-pressure. Two hours after your last cigarette, these two levels come down to normal. Peripheral circulation improves. However, the down-side also begins to show up around this time. Nicotine withdrawal symptoms begin to creep in, resulting in persistent craving, heightened appetite and anxiety, frustration, stress, irritability, difficulty in sleeping/over drowsiness.
